“Virginia Jones fricking murdered. She destroyed. It was wonderful.” – Jackie Kashian, from the Jackie & Laurie Show

“I saw her at Icehouse. Really funny.”- Laurie Kilmartin, from The Jackie & Laurie Show

Virginia Jones is a unique comic voice, by turns ingenious and absurd.  She feels like she could be a genius if she could just remember to write stuff down.

You may have seen her on Portlandia, CNN’s History of Comedy, and if you stay up late enough, in an Australian tap dance commercial.

She paid her dues in Portland, OR, working Helium and Harvey’s with talents like David Koechner, Sebastian Maniscalco, and Arj Barker before moving to Los Angeles and appearing on hot shows like Hot Tub, Put Your Hands Together, Competitive Erotic Fan Fiction, and Women Crush Wednesday. She is currently on the development track for the Improv family of comedy clubs. In LA, she has featured for Jackie Kashian and Eddie Pepitone.

She made semi-finals in the Seattle International and San Francisco International Comedy Competitions.

She is proud to appear on Jackie Kashian and Laurie Kilmartin’s Comic of the Week list, from the Jackie and Laurie show.

“So good!” has been yelled about her by both Kristen Schaal and Maria Bamford, and Pete Holmes of HBO’s Crashing “Really enjoyed” her. Youtube superstar Chris Fleming loves appearing with her.

Virginia has toured nationally, headlining clubs in Kansas City, Santa Cruz, and Indianapolis, and featuring at every casino and Radisson lounge between Portland and Montana.

Along with all these amazing accomplishments, she recently saved Maria Bamford’s  dog, Jackie Onassis, from choking on a chicken bone.

Virginia Jones believes comedy is an artform, just like her kind of liberal, uppity shits.

She can be heard on Itunes, SiriusXM, Pandora, Spotify, and Audible.

She has been proud to appear on such podcasts at the LEGENDARY Jordan, Jesse, Go!, Nobody Listens To Paula Poundstone, and Jackie Kashian’s long-running masterclass in Dorkdom, the Dork Forest.

Top Album Reviews for Gothic American:

“A record so good, I bought it!” – Jackie Kashian

“Artful comedy with soul- Virginia knows who she is.  Her comedy is exactly what good art should be, the sum total of the artists’ experience, soaked in impactful emotions and presented with a cohesive voice honed from years of focus and dedication to the form.  Virginia’s fans know, and now you can learn just how smart, funny and willing to poke fun at herself this jewel of the comedy scene is.  Even her dick jokes are original!  Do you know how hard that is?  Buy this album!”

“Virginia Jones is masterful at crafting smart jokes about relatable topics in the most unpredictable ways- everything from tattoos to body image to dating- she’ll make you think and question the status quo while letting out a guttural laugh.  Definitely buy this album if you’re looking for something unique, biting and hilarious.”

“This album walks a sharp but subtle line.  I appreciate it when stand-up can still surprise me.”

PANDORA: “Virginia Jones’ comedy features humorously dim-witted logic, a sarcastic, self-deprecating delivery, jokes about animals and personal relationships.”
